Short videos that show your app or website actually working, built to Apple's app preview specifications, Google Play's promo video rules and the way web pages autoplay video.
Before anyone downloads an app, they watch it. On the App Store and Google Play, a preview video sits above or ahead of the screenshots, and on a SaaS or platform website a product tour video often does the same job as the whole hero section. We produce app preview videos and website preview videos for businesses in Dubai and across the UAE, captured from the real product and edited to the rules each store sets.
Those rules for app preview video work in Dubai are strict, and they are not the same on both stores. A video that is perfect for Google Play can be rejected by Apple, which is why this service starts with the specifications rather than the storyboard.
Apple App Store
For app preview video work in Dubai, Apple publishes both technical specifications and content guidance. The content points shape the whole creative approach.
Resolutions
From Apple’s App Store Connect reference, we record every app preview video in Dubai on, or export for, each size you plan to upload.
| Device group | Portrait | Landscape |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone, 6.5 inch displays and larger | 886 by 1920 pixels | 1920 by 886 pixels |
| iPhone, 6.1 inch displays | 886 by 1920 pixels | 1920 by 886 pixels |
| iPhone, 4.7 inch displays | 750 by 1334 pixels | 1334 by 750 pixels |
| iPad, 11 and 13 inch displays | 1200 by 1600 pixels | 1600 by 1200 pixels |
| Mac and Apple TV | Not applicable | 1920 by 1080 pixels |
Apple updates device sizes as new hardware launches. Specifications are rechecked against the source at the start of each project.
Google Play
For an app preview video aimed at Dubai users, Google Play does not take an uploaded file. You add a YouTube link in Play Console, and Google’s help page sets conditions on that video that often trip up developers.
The biggest creative difference is framing. Apple’s guidance rules out hands, devices and people, so the Apple cut is pure screen footage with text overlays and motion between screens. Google Play recommends mostly in app footage but leaves room for a short branded opening or closing, so that version can include a device frame or a title card. Length differs too: Apple caps previews at 30 seconds, while on Google Play only the first 30 seconds autoplay. We therefore edit the first half minute of both versions to stand on its own and put any extra detail after it in the YouTube version.
Website preview videos
No store reviews these, but browsers and visitors have their own expectations.
A silent, looping clip of the product in use, placed at the top of the page. Browsers generally block autoplay with sound, so it is designed to be understood muted.
One short recording per feature, placed beside the copy that explains it, so visitors see the screen rather than imagine it.
A longer narrated walkthrough with captions, used on pricing pages, in sales emails and in onboarding.
Web files are delivered as compressed MP4 and WebM with a poster image, so the page stays quick on mobile data.
Planning
Most apps have a handful of actions that explain their value. We agree which ones the preview shows, in which order, and cut everything else.
You set up a test account with realistic invented data. No real customer names, numbers, addresses or messages appear on screen.
Every screen, scroll and tap is written down so the recording is smooth, with no hesitation, loading spinners or notification banners.
Footage is recorded from the device or browser at native resolution, in each language and orientation required.
Text overlays, transitions and music are added, then separate exports are made for Apple, the YouTube upload for Google Play and the website.

An app preview video for Dubai apps is one part of the store listing. Mobile app marketing covers screenshots, store copy and install campaigns, UI UX design makes sure the screens are worth showing, and mobile app development is where we build apps from scratch.
For websites, pair the video with a landing page design built around it. All video and photography services are listed under media production services.

The story can be shared, but the files cannot simply be reused. Apple wants uploaded video files at set device resolutions showing only in app footage, while Google Play takes a YouTube link and lets you frame the experience more freely, so we cut two versions from the same capture.
Yes, as long as there is a working build on a test device or a staging environment. Screens should be final, because a preview showing an old interface creates a mismatch the moment users open the app.

No, and we would rather not use it. A demo account filled with realistic but invented names, orders and messages keeps customer information off camera and makes every screen look complete.
Yes. Apple allows previews per localisation, so an Arabic version can be recorded from the Arabic interface with right to left layouts, and a separate Arabic YouTube video can be produced for Google Play if your store listing is localised.
