Translation or Transcreation for Arabic Marketing Copy in the UAE
When Arabic marketing copy should follow the English closely, when it should be recreated, and how to brief and check both.

Titles, bullet points and descriptions written to each marketplace's own listing rules, in English and Arabic. For UAE sellers on Amazon.ae, noon and their own online store.
Listings that pass and persuade
Every listing built through product description writing for Dubai sellers is read first by a marketplace’s quality checks, then by a shopper comparing you with other sellers in Dubai and across the UAE. Copy that ignores the rules gets rejected or quietly corrected. Copy that follows the rules but says nothing useful loses the sale. Product description writing handles both, for Amazon.ae, noon and your own online store. Marketplace ranking and advertising are separate, covered by Amazon store SEO and noon store SEO.
Listing fields and limits
For product description writing in Dubai, these figures come from each marketplace’s own seller help pages for the UAE, read on the date shown under Sources. Marketplaces revise them, so we check again at the start of every project.
| Field | Amazon.ae (Seller Central help) | noon (Seller Help Center) |
|---|---|---|
| Title length | Must not exceed 75 characters, including spaces, for all product types except media | The requirements list says 5 to 200 characters, while the worked examples say a title must not exceed 160 or fall below 20. We write to the stricter figures |
| Title content | No promotional phrases such as “free shipping”; the characters ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦ are not allowed; the same word no more than twice, where prepositions, articles and conjunctions are exempt but brand names are not | Must include the product type; no special characters, ALL CAPS, promotional phrases, prices, shipping options, repeated words or brand name |
| Bullet points | At least three, each 10 to 255 characters, written as sentence fragments without end punctuation, semicolons between phrases | Five recommended, each no more than 250 characters, no end punctuation, no emojis, no sales or promotional information, no reference to other marketplaces |
| Description and claims | The bullet point page asks sellers to avoid subjective, performance or comparative claims unless verifiable on packaging, and not to compare with competitor brands. We hold the description to the same standard | Between 250 and 4,000 characters; no price, shipping or warranty information, no brand history, no links, no emojis |
| Search terms and consistency | Lowercase, spaces not punctuation, synonyms instead of repetition, no brand names or ASINs, no temporary words like “new” or subjective words like “best” | Title, bullets, description and attributes must agree; a mismatch between them is a listed rejection reason |
noon also adds some attribute values, such as colour name in apparel, to the end of the displayed title automatically. Writing the colour into the title as well creates a repeated word, which is another rejection reason on its help page.
English and Arabic
noon’s content language page is clear about the UAE site. English content is mandatory and must be approved before a product can go live. Arabic content is optional, but noon advises providing at least the Arabic title, and warns that a product with only English content might only be shown on the English site and hidden from the Arabic one. noon also states that it does not provide translations of seller content; each seller is responsible for writing both languages if needed.
That makes Arabic listing copy a visibility decision, not a nice extra. We write Arabic titles, bullets and descriptions natively, keeping product names, model numbers and measurements identical to the English so the two versions never contradict each other.
Your own store
On your own Shopify or WooCommerce store there are no character limits, which is exactly why product description writing for a Dubai store still needs a fixed structure to avoid walls of text. We use a fixed structure so shoppers find the same information in the same place on every product.
Who the product is for and the one reason to choose it, in a sentence a shopper can read without scrolling.
Materials, dimensions, compatibility and what is in the box, in a scannable list rather than buried in paragraphs.
Sizing advice, care instructions and suitability for the UAE climate where it genuinely matters, such as outdoor fabrics.
The questions your customer service team answers every week, answered once on the page.
Every page written for its own product, so search engines have a reason to show it over identical supplier copy elsewhere.
Certifications, origin and performance claims only where you hold the documents to back them.
Store search structure, category pages and schema are covered by ecommerce SEO.
Catalogue workflow
In product description writing for a Dubai catalogue, work goes wrong when writing starts before the data is clean. This sequence keeps the text accurate at scale.
Your product sheet is checked for gaps and conflicts: missing dimensions, two weights for one SKU, unclear materials.
A title formula, bullet order and description outline per category, mapped to the marketplace’s fields.
A few representative products are written in full and approved before the batch begins.
The rest of the catalogue, in English and Arabic, written against the template and the source data.
Every listing checked for length, banned characters, repeated words and mismatches with attributes and images.
Good copy needs images that match it, see ecommerce product photography. For store builds, see ecommerce solutions, and for Arabic versions of an existing English catalogue, Arabic and English translation. All seven writing services are on the copywriting services hub.

Straight answers
We use it as raw material for specifications, but not as the finished text. Supplier copy is often shared by every seller of the same product, is sometimes translated poorly, and rarely answers the questions a UAE buyer asks. Facts are kept, wording is new.
Only at the level needed to write natural, relevant titles and bullets. Ranking work, keyword tracking, backend fields strategy and advertising on each marketplace belong to our Amazon store SEO and noon store SEO services.
We build a template per product category, write and approve a handful of sample products first, then work through the catalogue in batches from your product data sheet. The template keeps hundreds of listings consistent without making them identical.
At minimum the specifications, dimensions and weight, materials, what is in the box, compatibility, care or usage instructions, and any certificates you hold. Photos help too, because a listing must never describe something the image contradicts.
We deliver in the marketplace's bulk upload template or a spreadsheet mapped to it. Uploading, category approvals and account issues are handled by our seller account management services if you need that support.
