Technical, on page and content SEO for businesses in Dubai and across the UAE, planned against Google Search Essentials and reported in plain terms, with no promises about positions.
Search engine optimisation in Dubai attracts more myths than almost any other marketing service. Packages sold by the number of backlinks, promises of page one in thirty days, hundreds of near identical area pages. Google publishes its expectations openly, and our SEO services for UAE businesses are built on that documentation rather than on tricks that work until the next update.
Google Search Essentials has three parts: technical requirements a page must meet to be shown at all, spam policies describing behaviour that can get a page or a whole site ranked lower or removed, and key best practices such as writing helpful, people first content and making links crawlable. Every audit and every retainer we run is organised under those same headings, so you can check our recommendations against the source yourself. SEO is one part of our web services and works best alongside the content and analytics teams.
Three layers
Each layer depends on the one before it. Great articles on a site Google cannot crawl properly will not be found.
| Layer | What we check and fix | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Technical | Crawling and indexing in Search Console, robots rules, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, redirects and chains, status codes, JavaScript rendering, mobile usability, page speed, hreflang on bilingual sites | A prioritised issue list with the fix, the owner and the effort for each item |
| On page | Title elements, headings, meta descriptions, internal links, descriptive URLs, image alt text, structured data, duplicate and thin pages | Page level recommendations or the edits made directly in your CMS |
| Content | Search demand in English and Arabic, gaps against what customers ask, pages competing for the same query, outdated pages | A content plan with briefs, then new pages and updates on retainer |
Technical SEO
The first weeks of most engagements are spent in Search Console rather than keyword tools. The page indexing report shows which URLs Google has chosen not to index and why: duplicates without a canonical, pages blocked by robots rules, soft 404 errors, redirects. On sites rebuilt without a redirect plan, it is common to find the old URLs that used to earn traffic now returning errors.
Google’s SEO Starter Guide notes that duplicate content at several URLs is not a spam violation in itself, but it wastes crawling resources, and that you can point Google to your preferred version with a canonical tag or a redirect. On bilingual sites we also confirm the Arabic and English versions reference each other correctly.
Where issues are rooted in how the site was built, the fixes often go to our website development team.
Spam policies
These still appear in proposals sent to Dubai businesses. Each is listed in Google’s spam policies for web search.
Generating many pages for the primary purpose of manipulating rankings rather than helping users, including through automated rewriting or translation. A page for every Dubai community with only the area name swapped is the classic example.
Sites or pages built to rank for similar queries that funnel visitors to one destination. Several near identical microsites for one business fall into this.
Buying or selling links, excessive link exchanges, and links with optimised anchor text placed in guest posts or press releases. Bulk guest post packages sold by the dozen usually mean this.
Filling pages with repeated keywords, or blocks of text listing the cities and regions a page wants to rank for. It reads badly to people as well as to Google.
Content SEO
Good SEO content is written for a buyer with a question, and then shaped so search engines understand it.
Pages that describe what you sell, who it is for and how it works tend to deserve attention before blog posts, because they meet buyers closest to an enquiry.
Guides that answer real pre purchase questions, written by our article and blog writing team and planned within wider content marketing.
Refreshing and merging existing pages that compete with each other often does more than adding new ones.
Expectations
Google’s own starter guide says some changes may take effect in a few hours while others could take several months. That range is honest: a fixed noindex tag can show results quickly, while a new site in a competitive Dubai sector builds visibility slowly. We do not quote a timeline for rankings, and we would be cautious of anyone who does.
What we report monthly is what can be measured: pages indexed, impressions and clicks from Search Console, organic enquiries from GA4, and the work completed against the plan. Businesses with a shopfront or service area should also look at local SEO, and online stores at ecommerce SEO.

No. Nobody controls Google's results, and an agency promising positions is a warning sign. What we commit to is a written plan, the work in it being done, and honest reporting on visibility, clicks and enquiries from organic search.
Either works. Some businesses take an audit and let their own developers fix the issues; others want the fixes, content and reporting handled continuously. SEO is available on an optional monthly retainer, and a fixed written quote comes within 45 minutes during business hours.
If your customers search in Arabic, yes, but with pages genuinely written in Arabic rather than machine translated copies. Arabic search behaviour often differs from English, including spelling variants and dialect terms, so keyword research is done separately for each language.
Search Console, GA4 and CMS access as a user, plus any past SEO reports or known penalties. If Search Console has never been set up, verifying it is the first task because it is Google's direct channel to you about your site.
They answer different needs. Ads buy visibility immediately and stop when spend stops; organic visibility is slower to build but does not charge per click. Search terms from your ads account are also useful research for which pages to write first.
