An app has two front doors: its App Store product page and its Google Play listing. Every ad, influencer post and QR code on a Dubai shopfront ends at one of them, and a weak listing wastes all of it. Mobile app marketing therefore starts on the stores, moves to paid discovery inside and outside them, and depends on measurement that works within the privacy limits Apple and Google now set.

A common pattern we see in the UAE is a launch budget spent on ads before the listing, the onboarding and the measurement are ready, followed by a hard decision based on numbers nobody trusts. We reverse that order.

We work on apps for UAE audiences who switch between Arabic and English, often on the same phone. The service covers listing copy and creative briefs, store experiments, Apple Ads and Google App campaigns, and an attribution setup your team can trust. If the app itself is still being built, see our mobile app development service.

Listing rules

What gets a mobile app listing rejected or ignored

Mobile app marketing in Dubai has to respect Google’s metadata policy, which is specific. The app title, icon and developer name must not use emojis, emoticons or repeated special characters, should avoid all capitals unless that is the brand, and must not carry text or images that indicate store performance, ranking, price or promotional information. Misleading icon symbols, such as a fake notification dot, are not allowed.

Apple’s guidance on keywords says to skip plurals of words you already use, category names, the word “app”, duplicates, and trademarks or competitor names you have no right to. The first screenshots matter most, because Apple notes they can appear in search results when no app preview is available.

Ratings and reviews also sit on the listing. Replying to reviews in the language they were written in, and fixing the problems they raise, shows future users that someone is listening.

Short captions on those screenshots are writing work in their own right; our UX writing team handles the in app words behind them.

Listing review checklist

  • Name and subtitle say what the app does, within limits
  • No ranking, price or promo wording in title or icon
  • Keyword field free of duplicates and competitor names
  • First three screenshots tell the story alone
  • Arabic captions written natively, laid out right to left
  • Preview video opens on the product, not a logo
  • Custom pages ready for each campaign audience

Paid discovery

Apple Ads and Google App campaigns

Paid mobile app marketing for Dubai apps builds ads largely from what is already on your store listing, which is why listing work comes first.

Apple Ads

Apple’s advertising service, formerly known as Apple Search Ads, offers placements on the Today tab, the Search tab, in search results and on product pages while people browse. Apple states that ads are created from the metadata and assets already uploaded in App Store Connect, charged on a cost per tap basis, with a target cost per acquisition option on search results. Apple lists the countries and regions for each placement, and we confirm the storefronts you need before planning.

Google App campaigns

App campaigns are the Google Ads campaign type built for promoting apps across Google’s channels, and app installs and in app actions can be measured as conversions. Play custom store listings can be shown to traffic from specific Google Ads campaigns, so an ad about one feature lands on a listing about that feature. Account level detail sits with our Google Ads management service.

Short app preview videos for both stores can be produced through our app and website preview video service.

Measurement

Mobile app marketing attribution after Apple’s privacy changes

Mobile app marketing for Dubai apps on iOS now runs measurement through Apple’s privacy preserving frameworks. Planning around how they report avoids bad budget decisions.

AdAttributionKit and SKAdNetwork

Apple describes AdAttributionKit as building on SKAdNetwork. It lets ad networks attribute installs and re engagement without tracking individual users or devices across other companies’ apps, and without the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Postbacks arrive late

Apple states postbacks can arrive within 24 to 48 hours of a user launching the app, with up to three postbacks in total. Additional postbacks depend on conversion value updates and on crowd anonymity, so small campaigns see less detail.

Conversion values

You choose what the values mean, such as finishing onboarding, a first purchase or a subscription. Apple allows up to 64 signals of user value on an install notification, so the mapping needs deciding before launch.

As part of mobile app marketing in Dubai, we document a measurement plan covering conversion value mapping, in app events, store analytics and the reporting source used for decisions, working with your mobile measurement partner if you use one. Web traffic that leads to installs is covered under web analytics.

Frequently asked questions

Can you market an app another company built?

Yes. Listing work, paid campaigns and measurement only need access to App Store Connect, Google Play Console and the ad accounts. If we find product issues that hold installs back, such as a confusing first screen, we flag them for your developers.

Should we launch on both stores at the same time?

That depends on who your users are and which platform your team can support well at launch. Many UAE audiences use both, so we usually plan both listings together, even if paid spend starts on one store first.

Do we need separate Arabic store listings?

Both stores support localised listings, and Apple lets you localise app previews and custom product pages. Arabic speakers judge an app in seconds from its screenshots, so native Arabic captions and right to left layouts are worth doing properly.

Why do our install numbers differ between the ad platform and the store?

Each source counts differently. Privacy preserving attribution on iOS reports in aggregate and after a delay, stores count installs by their own rules, and ad platforms model some results. We set one agreed source for decisions and explain the gaps in reporting.

How is app marketing priced?

Our work is a fixed written quote, scoped to your brief. Advertising can continue on an optional monthly retainer, with media budgets set by you inside Apple Ads and Google Ads.
