A logo animation is a small piece of work that gets seen more often than almost anything else a brand makes. It opens every video, closes every ad, spins while an app loads and sits in the footer of every email your team sends. For businesses in Dubai and across the UAE, we animate existing logos into short, repeatable brand moments and export them in the specific file types each of those places needs.

This page is about the logo itself in motion. Longer explainers, animated infographics and title sequences are covered under motion graphics, and if the logo is not finished yet, start with logo design.

Where it is used

Six places a logo animation earns its keep

Logo animation in Dubai depends on where it plays, so list these in your brief. Each one changes the length, the file type and whether sound is allowed.

Video intro sting

A quick reveal at the start of YouTube videos, webinars and course lessons. It must be short enough that viewers do not skip it.

Ad and video outro

The resting end frame with website or call to action. On YouTube, the outro can host end screens, which the platform allows in the last 5 to 20 seconds of a video at least 25 seconds long.

App splash and loader

Plays while content loads. Developers want a lightweight file that can loop or stop cleanly on a single frame.

Website header or preloader

Plays once on arrival or on hover. It needs to be light, silent and never block the page from loading.

Email signature

A small looping GIF. Some email clients show only the first frame, so that frame must already be the complete logo.

Screens and presentations

Event backdrops, reception displays and pitch decks, usually as a longer hold version that can loop for minutes.

Durations

How long each logo animation version should run

Logo animation timing in Dubai follows the lengths we plan around. The right length depends on how complex the mark is and how often the viewer will see it.

VersionTypical planned lengthWhy
Short stingAround two to three secondsRepeated on every video, so it has to feel quick on the tenth viewing
Full revealAround four to six secondsRoom for a build, a settle and a tagline for brand films and launches
Outro with holdLong enough for the end frame to be readOn YouTube, set to cover the end screen window if you use one
Loader loopOne or two second cycleLoops for as long as loading takes, without a visible jump
Email GIFOne short loopFile weight matters more than detail in an inbox

A detailed crest or a long company name takes longer to read than a single letter mark, so complex logo animation in Dubai usually needs the longer end of each range. We time every version against the actual placement before exporting, rather than applying one length everywhere, and we keep the final frame on screen long enough for the full name to be read comfortably by someone seeing it for the first time.

File formats

Logo animation files: MP4, transparent video, Lottie or GIF

A common mistake in logo animation for Dubai clients is receiving one MP4 and then finding it cannot sit over footage, cannot be used in the app and looks blurry as an email signature. A proper export package solves that.

  • MP4 (H.264). The universal file for social posts, presentations and video editors when the logo sits on a solid background.
  • Transparent video. MOV with an alpha channel for editors placing the logo over footage, and WebM with alpha for some web uses.
  • Lottie JSON. The Lottie documentation describes it as a library that renders After Effects animations exported as JSON with Bodymovin natively on Android, iOS, the web and Windows. It scales without blurring, which suits apps and websites.
  • GIF. No sound and limited colour, but it plays almost everywhere, including email. Lottie’s own documentation notes GIFs are more than double the size of the equivalent JSON and render at a fixed size.

Standard logo animation export package

  • MP4 in 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16
  • Transparent MOV for editors
  • Lottie JSON for app and web developers
  • Looping GIF sized for email signatures
  • Still PNG of the final frame
  • Light and dark background versions

Process

How we animate a logo

  1. Brief

Logo animation for a Dubai brand starts with where the animation will appear, what the brand should feel like in motion, and any animations from other brands you like or dislike.

  2. File preparation

Your vector logo is separated into layers: icon parts, each letter of the wordmark, the tagline. Arabic lettering keeps its joins, so it is never split in a way that breaks the script.

  3. Motion directions

A small set of style frames or rough animatics shows different ideas, such as a draw on, a build from shapes or a reveal through the brand pattern. You choose one.

  4. Animation and sound

The chosen direction is animated in full, with easing matched to the brand’s personality and an optional sound mark for video versions.

  5. Logo animation review and export

You review the main version, then every agreed length and format is exported from the same source, so they all match.

Bilingual brands

Bilingual logo animation for Dubai audiences

Logo animation in Dubai for bilingual brands has to respect script direction: Arabic reads right to left, so a reveal that sweeps left to right across an English wordmark can look backwards on the Arabic line. For bilingual lockups we plan the direction of movement for each script separately, keep the Arabic letterforms connected throughout the motion, and time both lines so neither language feels secondary.

Once finished, the animation plugs into the rest of your brand system: brand identity design for guidelines, email signature design for the GIF placement, and promo videography for the videos it opens and closes. See every video and photo service under media production services.

Send us

  • Master logo as AI, SVG, EPS or PDF
  • Arabic and English lockups, if both exist
  • Brand colours and fonts
  • Brand guidelines, if available
  • A list of every place the animation will be used

Frequently asked questions

Can you animate a logo we did not design with you?

Yes. We work from your existing master files. If only a flattened PNG or JPEG exists, the logo is first rebuilt as a clean vector so it stays sharp when animated, and you approve the rebuild before any motion work starts.

Will the animation change our logo?

The final resting frame is always your approved logo, unchanged. Movement happens on the way in or out. If an idea would need the mark itself to be redrawn, that becomes a logo design question and we raise it before going further.

How much does a logo animation cost?

You get a fixed written quote, scoped to your brief. The number of versions, whether sound design is included and the list of export formats are the things that move it.

Does a logo animation need music or sound?

Not always. Many placements, such as app loaders, website headers and social feeds, play silently, so the animation must work without audio. A short sound mark can be added for the video versions if you want one.

Can we use the animation in Arabic and English?

Yes. Bilingual logos are animated with both scripts in mind, and where the brand has separate Arabic and English lockups we deliver a set for each, with timing matched so they can be swapped in any edit.
