What this covers

Social media design in Dubai: the visual side, and nothing vague

Businesses in Dubai and across the UAE usually come to us with one of two problems. Either every post looks different because it was made in a hurry by whoever was free, or the feed looks polished in English and falls apart the moment an Arabic version is needed. Social media design fixes both by giving you a small, deliberate system: a set of layouts, type rules and colour decisions that make a post recognisably yours before anyone reads the name.

This page is about the artwork only. Strategy, scheduling and community replies are covered by social media marketing, and the words on and under each post by social media copywriting. Animated pieces sit with motion graphics.

Typical deliverables

  • Single image feed posts in portrait and square
  • Carousel sets with a consistent cover and closing frame
  • Story frames for announcements, polls and highlights
  • Reel and TikTok cover frames and text overlays
  • Highlight icons and profile or page banners
  • An editable template library with a short usage sheet

Specifications

Social media design sizes for Dubai, taken from each platform’s own documentation

Third party size charts go out of date quickly, so we work from the platforms’ help centres and ads guides. Ad specifications are the stricter set, and designing to them means any organic post can later be boosted without a resize.

Templates

A social media design template library your Dubai team can actually use

A good template removes decisions rather than adding them. Each layout in the set has a job, and the usage sheet says which one to reach for.

Locked and open layers

Logo position, margins and the brand frame are locked. Headline, image and accent colour slots stay editable, so a junior team member cannot drift the look over a busy month.

Content types, not random layouts

We map templates to what you actually post: product launch, offer, event date, team or client quote, tip carousel, hiring notice. Each type gets one or two layouts, not ten.

Readable on a phone

Text on busy photos is the most common failure we see. We test headline sizes at phone scale and check colour pairs against the WCAG contrast guidance of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.

One idea, every placement

A single campaign idea is supplied as a portrait post, a story frame and a vertical cover, so the message looks planned across placements rather than cropped to fit.

Brand consistent, not identical

A feed where every tile is the same colour block becomes wallpaper. We build in two or three background treatments so the grid has rhythm without losing recognition.

Seasonal slots

Ramadan, Eid, UAE National Day and your own sale periods are predictable. Seasonal variants can be designed ahead so they are not rushed the week before.

Bilingual creative

Arabic and English social media design for audiences in Dubai

An Arabic post is a separate layout, not a translated text box. Arabic reads from right to left, so the visual hierarchy flips: the headline anchors on the right, arrows and progress markers point the other way, and a product image usually moves to balance the text. Arabic lettering also sits differently on the line and often needs more vertical room, so a headline that fits in two English lines may need three.

We pair an Arabic typeface with your Latin brand font by weight and colour on the page, rather than using whichever Arabic font a design tool offers by default. For vertical video covers we start from TikTok’s Arabic right to left safe zone template, where interface elements sit in different positions from the standard version.

Decide before design starts

  • Separate Arabic and English posts, or both languages in one frame
  • Which language leads on each platform
  • Who writes or approves the Arabic copy
  • Western or Eastern Arabic numerals for prices and dates
  • Whether carousels read in the same order in both languages

How it runs

From brief to a social media design template set for Dubai

We follow the same six stages on every project: Brief, Proposal, Create, Review, Deliver, Improve. For social media design, that looks like this.

  1. Brief

We look at your current feed, two or three accounts you admire, your brand files and the platforms that matter. A competitor audit is useful here too: in crowded Dubai categories such as real estate and restaurants, standing apart visually matters as much as looking good.

  2. Proposal

You receive a fixed written quote within 45 minutes during business hours, listing the templates, sizes and languages in scope.

  3. Create

We design a small first set, usually one post of each content type in both languages, so direction is agreed before the full library is built.

  4. Review

You review on your phone, not just on a desktop screen, because that is where your audience will see it.

  5. Deliver

Final exports at the sizes above, the editable template files and a one page usage sheet.

  6. Improve

After a few weeks of real posting, we look at which layouts your team uses and which they avoid, and adjust.

Where social media design fits with the rest of your Dubai brand

Social templates work best when they sit on top of settled brand decisions. If your logo only exists as a low resolution image, or you have no agreed colours, it is worth sorting that through brand identity design first, otherwise the templates end up inventing a brand by accident. For paid campaigns with offers, prices and deadlines, see ad design. If your posts rely on photography, our social media photography page explains how a shoot is briefed so the images suit the layouts. Frequently asked questions

Do you design the posts or also run our accounts?

This service covers the visual assets: templates, post designs, story frames and covers. Planning, publishing and reporting sit under our social media marketing service, and captions under social media copywriting. Many clients combine them, but you can brief design on its own.

Can our team edit the templates after handover?

Yes, that is the point of a template set. We agree the editing tool in the brief, lock the elements that should not move, such as the logo and margins, and leave headline, image and colour slots open for your team.

Is an Arabic post just the English post translated?

No. Arabic text runs from right to left and often needs a different line length, so the layout is mirrored and the type is set by hand. If you do not already have Arabic copy, it can be written or translated before design starts.

What do you need from us to start?

Your logo files, any brand guidelines, the platforms you post on, examples of posts you like and dislike, and a rough monthly volume. From that we send a fixed written quote, scoped to your brief, within 45 minutes during business hours.

Will these designs work as paid ads too?

They are built to the ad specifications, so a post can be boosted without being resized. Dedicated campaign creative with offers and calls to action is handled on our ad design page.
