Dubai runs on launches, openings, conferences and exhibitions, and most of them are forgotten a week later because nobody captured them properly. A promo video turns a real moment into something you can keep using: a teaser before the day, a highlight reel after it, and short clips for months of posts. Our promo video production covers events, product launches and brand stories for businesses in Dubai and across the UAE.

What separates a promo from a commercial is that you cannot reshoot the moment. The keynote happens once and the ribbon is cut once. So the planning is about being in the right place, with sound, when it matters.

Types of promo

Promo video production in Dubai: what we film and what you get

Each type has a different job, so each is edited differently.

Event teaser

Built before the date from venue footage, past event material or motion titles, to drive registrations and remind people to attend.

Event highlight reel

The atmosphere, the crowd, the key speakers and the best reactions, cut to music with speaker names and the event branding on screen.

Product launch promo

The reveal, the product in hand, first reactions and a clear line about where to buy, ready to publish the moment the embargo lifts.

Opening or venue promo

A new clinic, restaurant, showroom or office shown as a visitor experiences it, from arrival to the details that make it worth the trip.

Brand story promo

Your team, your process and the people you serve, filmed on a normal working day with short interviews that explain why the business exists.

Speaker and session clips

Single ideas pulled from talks and panels, each one captioned and able to stand alone as a post for a speaker or sponsor to share.

Promo video production for launches in Dubai: film before the reveal, publish at the reveal

A product launch promo is usually half made before launch day. Close product shots, packaging, the founder explaining the idea and any location footage can be filmed early under embargo, then held. On the day itself the coverage is only the reveal, the reactions and the atmosphere, which are slotted into an edit that is already structured. That approach keeps the finished promo ready when the announcement goes out, instead of arriving after the conversation online has already moved on. It also means the embargoed footage is stored and shared only with the people you name in the brief.

Planning an event shoot

The run sheet for promo video production in Dubai decides the coverage

Before the day, we work from the organiser’s running order and mark each moment as essential, useful or optional. That tells us where to be, when to switch between the stage and the floor, and what can be missed without hurting the edit.

  • A sound feed from the AV desk is requested for keynotes, because camera microphones pick up the room, not the speaker.
  • Stage lighting is checked in advance; bright LED walls behind speakers can ruin exposure on faces.
  • VIP arrivals, sponsor logos and signage shots are listed so nobody’s brand is left out of the reel.
  • Interview spots are scouted away from music and crowd noise.
  • Venue filming rules, loading access and any restricted zones are confirmed with the organiser.

From you before the event

  • Running order with timings and stage names
  • List of speakers, VIPs and sponsors to feature
  • Venue contact and exhibitor or venue manual
  • Brand assets for titles and end frame
  • Where each edit will be published

Permits and people

Promo video production in Dubai: filming guests and venues

The Dubai Film and TV Commission states that filming permits are required on government operated and private locations, for every media platform including online, and that private locations need a no objection certificate from the owner. Many event venues, hotels and malls among them, are privately operated, so the permit and the venue owner’s permission are both checked as part of the plan. Our commercial videography page sets out the DFTC requirements in more detail.

Crowds need care too. Article 44 of UAE Federal Decree Law No. 34 of 2021 makes it an offence to use technology to invade someone’s privacy without consent, including by photographing people in public or private places. For event promos, that means visible filming notices at registration, a quiet word before close ups, written releases for anyone interviewed, and removing people who ask not to appear.

Consent on the day

  • Filming notice on tickets, registration desk and screens
  • Release forms for interviews and featured guests
  • A clear way for attendees to opt out
  • Extra caution with children and prayer areas

Edits per platform

One event, a different cut for every channel

A three minute recap posted everywhere performs badly nearly everywhere. We plan the versions at the proposal stage.

After the edit

Promo video production in Dubai: keep the footage working after launch day

The clips from one event can feed a content calendar for weeks. Social media marketing plans how they are released, social media copywriting writes the captions in Arabic and English, and logo animation gives every edit a consistent opening and end frame.

For content filmed specifically for social channels rather than around an occasion, see social media videography, and for everything else, media production services.

Frequently asked questions

Can you film an event we are attending as an exhibitor rather than organising?

Yes, but the venue and organiser rules still apply to you. Exhibition halls often have their own filming conditions for stand holders, so we ask for the exhibitor manual early and plan the coverage around your stand and sessions.

Do we get the raw footage?

Raw footage delivery is agreed in the proposal rather than assumed. Many clients ask for selected clips of speakers and products so their own team can make extra posts later, and we list exactly what is included.

What is the cost of a promo video?

It is set out as a fixed written quote, scoped to your brief. The hours of coverage, number of locations, interviews and the number of edited versions are the main factors.

Can the promo include interviews with guests or customers?

Yes. Interviews are arranged in advance where possible, each person signs a release before filming, and questions are shared with them beforehand so answers sound natural rather than rehearsed.

Is a promo different from an advertisement?

A promo can be used in ads, but it is built from real footage of an occasion or a business at work. If you need a scripted concept with actors and a storyboard written to one message, our commercial videography page covers that process.
