Most businesses that want to hire developers in Dubai are not sure, at first, which of several quite different services they actually need. Some want one experienced person added to a team they already run. Some have a defined piece of work and want it built, handed over and supported. Some want help writing the role and finding the right candidate, and some just need an experienced technical opinion before they commit to a direction. We work across all four, and across 20 technology categories, from programming languages to Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce, AI, data, cloud, security, blockchain, automation, IoT, games and API and integration work.

Digital Marketing Dubai is the trading name of Digital Marketing in Dubai LLC, working in Dubai since 2018 from Building A1, IFZA Business Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis. This page explains the four ways to work with us, how recruitment support and technical assessment actually run, and how to brief a role so we can scope it properly.

Programming language roles such as a Python developer or a Go developer sit inside our software development category, alongside web, mobile, Microsoft, data and AI categories below. If the work is closer to building or fixing a website outright, our website development service may be a simpler starting point.

Four ways to work with us

How to hire a developer in Dubai through us

Each model suits a different situation. Most clients who hire developers in Dubai through us use one or two of these, not all four.

Dedicated developer

One person works on your product full time or part time, reports into your team, and is billed monthly. You direct the day to day work: sprint planning, priorities and code review stay with you. This fits an ongoing product with a technical lead already in place.

Project based development

We agree a written scope with you, build it, and hand over the code, documentation and access at the end. This suits a defined piece of work with a clear start and finish, such as a new service, a migration or an integration.

Recruitment support

We help you write the role, source and shortlist candidates, and run a technical assessment. You interview and hire directly, and the employment relationship is between you and the person you hire. We never call this a placement or licensed employment agency service.

Consulting and architecture

Advisory work for a set period: architecture reviews, target designs, platform and partner selection, and technical leadership when you need an experienced second opinion rather than another pair of hands.

Recruitment support

How we source and assess candidates

When a client wants recruitment support rather than a dedicated developer, we start by turning a rough idea of the role into a written brief: the stack, the seniority, what the person will actually work on in the first three months, and the non negotiable requirements. We then source and shortlist candidates against that brief, so you are not screening a stack of applications that do not match.

Every shortlisted candidate goes through a technical assessment built for the specific role, close to the real work rather than a generic quiz. You receive a written summary alongside each candidate, and you run the final interviews and make the hiring decision yourself.

What a technical assessment covers

  • An exercise in the actual language or platform, not a puzzle
  • Review of existing code the candidate is willing to share
  • Questions on decisions the candidate made and why
  • A written note on strengths and gaps for the specific role

Briefing us

What to send us before you hire a developer in Dubai

A short, honest brief gets you a better proposal than a polished but vague one. Tell us what the product or system does today, what is missing, who on your side will own the relationship, and any systems the work must connect to. If you genuinely do not know the stack yet, say so, and we will help you work it out during the call rather than guessing from a job title.

Once we understand the work, you receive a written fixed price proposal scoped to your brief, with no obligation to proceed.

Useful to include

  • What the product or system does today
  • The problem you are trying to solve
  • Roughly how long the need is likely to last
  • Who will direct the work day to day
  • Systems it must connect to, such as a CRM, ERP or booking tool
  • Any languages or platforms already in use

UAE considerations

Data protection and identity when you hire developers in the UAE

Two points come up often enough in Dubai projects to plan for from the start.

Personal data under the PDPL

Federal Decree Law No. 45 of 2021, the UAE’s federal data protection law, applies to processing of personal data through electronic systems inside or outside the country, and requires organisations holding personal data to secure it and obtain consent for processing, with limited exceptions. If a developer you hire in Dubai will touch customer or staff data, this is worth raising with the person directing the work, whichever engagement model you choose.

UAE PASS identity integration

Several UAE government and semi government services expect sign in through UAE PASS, the national digital identity. UAE PASS publishes an OAuth2 based web integration guide with a public sandbox, so a developer can build and test the login flow before it goes live, which is worth asking about if your project needs to talk to a UAE government system.

Straight answers

Frequently asked questions

Which way of working should we choose?

It depends on how long the need lasts and who should direct the work. A dedicated developer suits an ongoing product with your own team lead. A defined, time boxed piece of work usually suits a project scope instead. We ask about this in the first call and recommend the model that fits, not the one that is easiest for us to sell.

Can we combine more than one model?

Yes. A common pattern is a scoped project to build the first version, then a dedicated developer to extend it, or a dedicated developer for build work alongside consulting for architecture decisions. Each strand is written into its own proposal.

How does recruitment support work if you are not an agency?

We help you write a clear role brief, source and shortlist candidates against it, and run a technical assessment so you interview people who can already do the work. You run the interviews and make the hiring decision, and the employment relationship is between you and the candidate.

How is a technical assessment run?

We agree the skills and seniority the role needs with you, then set an exercise close to real work for that stack, review the candidate's code and reasoning, and give you a written summary of strengths and gaps. It is not a generic multiple choice test.

Do you charge by the hour?

No. Every engagement starts with a written fixed price proposal scoped to your brief, whether that covers a month of dedicated time, a defined project, a search, or a block of consulting days.

What if we are not sure which category our role sits in?

Describe the problem you are trying to solve rather than a job title. A short call is usually enough to place it in the right category and, if it spans more than one, to say so honestly.
