Microsoft’s own certification page confirms that Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate, exam PL-200, retired on 31 August 2026, and can no longer be earned or renewed. A candidate’s CV that still lists it as current is a fair thing to question.
What to look at instead
Microsoft’s associate level catalogue now leans toward AI powered configuration, and its architect level credential, Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect, exam AB-100, accepts several associate certifications as a prerequisite according to its own exam page. Ask for a Microsoft Learn transcript link showing whatever the candidate currently holds, and weigh it alongside a real process map and a practical exercise, since a checkable transcript still matters more than any single exam name.
